The GCSTest site is a joint collaboration between LearningRx and BrainSkills.
LearningRx is the leading clinical program to help people improve cognitive skills and unlock learning potential. LearningRx Centers help individuals of all ages and performance levels. Unlike tutoring or computer-based programs that focus on behavior management or specific academic skills, LearningRx provides cognitive skill training that improves the brain's ability to process information. BrainSkills was formed to create an online cognitive skills development program based upon the LearningRx program to serve students that are unable to access the clinical program. In the US, the program is only available to schools and organizations that serve under-re sourced students. For more information, please visit www.brainskills.com.
The Test was authored by Dr. Ken Gibson, founder and CEO of LearningRx. The test was created to provide an affordable and easily accessed tool to assess core cognitive skills.
The Test is currently being standardized, but preliminary results are available based upon a correlation study with a standardized test. Standardized results will be made available as soon as sufficient results are completed. That process is expected to be completed during the fall semester 2008.
